Cat care – We have a spots open to clean the cat building and socialize with our cats. As an Animal Care volunteer you will help Kitty Kat Haven with their day-to-day running, spend quality time with the animals, helping to socialize them, provide exercise through play. Our volunteers also work to promote and education on how to care for cats.
We take in adult cats and unlike kittens they have a hard time adjusting to change. It is VERY important that all of our cats have positive interactions with people. They are shy, scared, or mourning a loved one who has passed away
Events – Most of our events take place March through September. We have fundraising, educational, and adoption events. Our adoption events are the most popular, because you get to pet all the sweet cats and help them find homes. We also do fundraising events.

Event volunteers are responsible for the care of our cats while at the events. As well as set ups and breakdown of booths. You don’t have to interact with the public very much if you don’t want to. A majorly of our events take place March through September in Lewis County, volunteer are expected to show up for the events they sign up for, or give us time to find another person.
Foster Families – Foster families temporarily house and care for one or more cats. All you need to provide is a safe, clean and loving environment, plenty of TLC, and make sure the cat has a clean litter box and fresh food and water. Foster Care Program Information

Board relationships are partnerships, the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected. This may include but is not limited to; contacting local events, contacting local businesses, grant research and/or writing.
Construction / Manual labor – This is a great opportunity for a group of volunteers. These projects could be as basic as planting or painting; however, those with additional skills may be able to help in more advanced work like building cat furniture.
